March Chicago Visit

March 12th I took off to Chicago for a visit. Two of our boys are there so it is double fun. While there we watched the Chicago river get painted green. I don't know how they do it but it was fun to join all the Chicago Irish dressed in all kinds of garb gather at the river as it became green.
After that we spent the day at the "Shedd Aquarium" where we enjoyed beluga whales among other things.

No Reverse Button

Life has no reverse button and these four precious children are one of the main reasons I tackle my fears and head to Chicago solo. I will never relive these years. Here we are at the El Station and on the El in chicago. Besides a day in the city we played games, read books and ate pizza. Thanks for the great time. I have stored the memories in my Grandma heart.

Happy Birthday Matt

While in chicago I got to celebrate Matt's birthday with him. We decided this was the first time we have been together on his birthday, in Chicago since he was born there. It was a special time. I made his favorite angel food cake which we enjoyed with strawberries. I am so blessed to have this man as my son.
