Dad and I once again went to the annual "Bring you own Pot" night at the Green House. This time we also listened to a workshop. If we do this often enough we might learn something. Now our patio is all dressed up and we are ready for someone to COME HOME. Plants on the bench our dad's tomatoes waiting for the right moment to get put in the gard, as Jonny affectionately calls Grandpa's garden. He has planted a few things and his strawberry patch is looking good.

Happy Birthday Larry
This week-end is Larry's 62nd birthday. Finally he has caught up to me. We went to the Omaha zoo to celebrate. It was for casted to be rainy. We took our umbrellas and went anyway. It turned out to be a great day and we didn't even need to open up the umbrellas. Toward the end of our visit the sun even smiled on us. We had a great day. It wasn't very crowded, so we really got to see the animals up close and personal. The zoo was dressed in its spring finery and was beautiful as you can see here.
Something new will be opening in May. It is the Madagascar Building. Always something new brewing at the Doorly zoo.
After the zoo we went to the "Texas Roadhouse" for supper. Delicious!!! While we were talking back and forth trying to decide on our order the waitress said, "You two are funny". I hope that was a good thing. :) After that we went to Kohls and were home by 8 pm. Take time to enjoy some things with the one you love. You will never be sorry. Happy Birthday Larry.

Jonathan, Katelyn and Becky Visit
It was fun to have Jonny and Kate visit the first part of April. (Becky came also) We had a lot of fun and were constantly entertained by Jonathan's antics. Katie was sick some of the visit and didn't feel much like pictures. We loved having you both here. You are so precious to Grandpa and I. Can't wait until we visit Louisville in May. Jonny assisting Grandp in the garden.
Josiah and Jack Visit
Happy Birthday Natalie

Easter Sunday
Easter Sunday was a glorious day. It is by far my favorite "holiday" or celebration day. Easter is what makes life worth living. Easter is full of hope and promise. Easter makes me smile all day long. Larry and I enjoyed Easter breakfast at church and then a wonderful service. We held it in the gym this year to accommodate extra numbers. Extra care had been taken this year to improve the quality of the service and it richly paid off. I love the praise music of Easter. I am so thankful to my savior for giving his life and then raising to life again so that all may live.
After a simple dinner at home, Larry and I took off for Okoboji. It was quiet there as the hustle and bustle of summer hasn't yet begun. We walked and drove around. We investigated some new territory. We hunted for and found some friends cabin. We had a wonderful afternoon.
