Jackson

Jackson is now smiling. When we last saw him, I knew it wouldn't be long. What a little sweetie. At this age they change sooo quickly. We miss you Jackson.

Katelyn

Katelyn is growing so quickly. This is a darling picture of her and it makes her grandma lonesome. She is now 5 months old.

Wedding at Meriden

Recently Larry and I attended a wedding at Meriden that Larry only had a part in. It was a wonderful wedding. I wanted to capture this picture of the unusual cake. It was a cupcake wedding cake and really very cute. The picture doesn't do it justice but I tried.

The Joys of Grandparenting

Nothing in life compares with being a Grandparent. This summer we have been blessed to have lots of Grandpa and Grandma time. Anita has especially went to a lot of work to make arrangements for their 4 children to make separate visits. Thanks so much Anita. This is Emily and I.

Emily visits

The end of June was time for Emiy's visit. Our first little grandchild is growing up. She is turning into a lovely young lady. We had alot of fun. We watched "Anne of Green Gables" together, cooked, shopped went out to eat and saw "Beauty and The Beast". Grandpa and I enjoyed playing cards with her. Emily is 10 and has certainly brought us 10 years of joy.

Dinner for Seven

On June 20th Brent and Anna Anderson from missionaries to Russia were home. We had them over for supper and the evening. Here they are with their 5 boys. Will happened to be looking the wrong way, so we took his picture separately as seen below. The boys were delightful and we had a great evening together.

Happy Father's Day

For Father's Day I made a collage for Larry that had a picture of him with each of his grandchildren. I thought it was so special. It shows 8 of our greatest blessings. It is truly amazing what two people can start. Happy Father's Day Honey.

Happy Anniversary

June 19th Larry and I celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary. What a wonderful blessing. We are so thankful that God has given us so many years. It sounds a very long time but seems like it went so quickly. We are so thankful that our love today is stronger that it has ever been and that we can spend these years together. We went to Sioux City and ate at a restaurant on the river, walked along the river, shopped a little (each got a new cool water bottle) and ate ice cream at Cold Stone. It was a wonderful evening.

Natalie visits Grandpa and Grandma

At the end of May, before our trip to the Dells, Nalatie came to visit. We really had a lot of fun. We made cookies, played in the park, played dolls and of course read books. The we took Natalie and headed to the Dells. Natalie was a wonderful traveler and even stayed one night in a motel with us. Natalie is 4 and Grandma thinks that is the absolute best age. We love you Natalie.

Wisconsin Dells

In attempting to delete a double view of our cabin, I deleted all cabin pictures and I didn't want to do that. I still have quite a bit to learn about this blogging thing.

Matt and Unity

I found I did indeed have a picture of Matt and Unity and this is really a good one. We had a good time with them in Chicago. They even got us to a Columbia Restaurant. Actually we really enjoyed it. Thanks Matt and Unity for a good time.

Chicago

After our time at the Dells we spent 5 days in Chicago, enjoying our kids and this wonderful city. This is a picture of Dave's family. We spent 3 nights with them and 2 nights with Matt and Unity. (sorry I didn't take a picture of them, they are coming for the 4th and I will make up for this error :) )

Vacation at the Wisconsin Dells

Grandma overall favorite picture. Watch out Josiah when you are 16.
Here are some fun shots starting with all the grandchildren. What a blessing they are to us.
Sweet baby Katelyn. Luke
Precious baby Jack working on his tan.

There was something for everyone. Here we are just hanging out and visiting and of course holding babies. Our cabin was located on a golf course that wasn't used at night. So we turned it into a giant ball field.

Kids loved the hot tub in the cabin. (so did grandma)

Grilling on our wrap around deck.

Larry and I didn't swim much but we sure did enjoy holding babies.

Eric and Matt always find time for a mind stretching game.

Swimming of course was great fun.

Josiah was slow to warm up to the swimming idea. He eventually did though and had alot of fun. Both boys enjoyed these swings in the water. Here is Jonathan.

Eric and Sarah and Josiah and baby Jack.

Chaun and Becky and Jonathan and baby Katelyn.

Great Grandma Brown

While in GrandIsland I got to visit my mother's grave. This is something I don't get to do very often. I was especially touched to get this picture of Josiah and Jonathan at the grave. She would have loved to see these two precious boys.

Great Grandparents

On the way to the wedding in Nebr. we got to visit with the girls 'adopted' great grandparents. It was so good to see them and for them to see the girls children. Here the girls and their boys are with Great Grandma Marge. Katelyn with Great Grandma.

Great Grandpa Charlie and Katelyn.
