Spencer's Fair

Anyone who knows Larry knows that he loves fairs. So on a beautiful Sunday afternoon we went to the Clay County Fair. This fair is always a favorite. So grand it almost seems like a state fair. Following are some excerpts of our day.

We love the sky ride but didn't go on it this time.

My favorite fair food is corn dogs. I had a good one. We both love Nutty Bars.

This little guy was all tuckered out in the cow barn. I thought it was a cute picture.

I so wish I could take excellent pictures like this and win purple ribbons.

Dad's favorite tractor

Oliver tractors remind him of his boyhood days. I bought him a small one for his Christmas present. That will make two he owns. My farmer/preacher.

My fair purchase. I am excited about htis bag on wheels. Everyone was buying them. Hopefully I won't be sorry.

So that was our fun day at the fair. That will probably be it unitl next summer.

Welecome baby Ellie

August 30th
Eleanor Mae Bergmeier arrived. She weighed in at 7lbs. 13oz. She is beautiful and a wonderful blessing from the Lord. Larry and I were in Louisville to help welcome her.
Ellie came by C-section because she was sideways in Becky. Thankfully Mom and baby are doing great!

Grandpa with baby Eleanor. Ellie's name was chosen in part because it was Larry's mother's name. Eleanor Mae Ostercamp would be thrilled with Eleanor Mae Bergmeier.

Spending time in the Hospital Room

This was sometimes a challenge for a 3 year old and a 1 and a half year old.

Celebrating 60 Years

What a fun and festive day when we celebrated Erv and Jennie's 60th wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful occassion.

Golf Outing

I took five 5th and 6th graders to Sioux City for Pizza and Mini Golf on a Friday night. These are the boys and girls I have come to love (minus one). We really had a fun time. Now come the first of September my class will change. I thank the Lord for this opportunity.
