Party in Meriden

The streets of Meriden were turned into a carnival this week-end (July 23&24). We had a carnival and a band come in. Quite an event for Meriden. We all went to bed to loud music that night. We were thankful we live on the outskirts.

Luke's visit

At last it was time for Luke to visit. What a grand time we had. We spent some time making a farm on the dining room table. Here he is with his field and he is working on the mud hole for the pigs. He and I had a lot of fun doing this. We also took in a park, made cookies, went swimming, watched a movie and the big treat was going on a horse and buggy ride. Hey little buddy we miss you already and count the days until we see you again.

Jack Is Smiling

Fun In Milwaukee

When it was time for Alise to return home, I took her. First we went to Milwaukee and visited for a couple of days. It was really fun to see Josiah and Jack. One day we went to a fun place called"Monkey Joe's". Here we are after an afternoon of fun.

Alise Comes To Visit

July was time for Alise to come for a visit. We had alot of fun. We made cookies, went shopping and out to eat, rode bikes and visited the Cherokee County Fair. Alise enjoyed making these pot holders while she was visiting. Thanks for bringing joy to our house for a few days Alise. We loved having you around.

Church at the Cherokee County Fair

One Sunday in July, our church had it's Sunday service at the fair grounds. Here is a picture of the praise band setting up. We ended up filling this building which was wonderful. It did however rain buckets full of water while we were there. We were thankful for a roof over our heads.

Fourth Of July Visit

Matt and Unity visit

Matt and Unity came for a visit over the 4th of July. We had a great time. We met on Friday the 3rd at the Omaha Zoo, we all love that zoo. When it closed we went to Old Town and ate in a side walk cafe. That was fun. At home we showed Unity around the surrounding towns, took this city girl to shop at Bomgaars (they have started a city garden), walked, played cards, watched movies and made cinnamon rolls. We also went to the Cherokee Fireworks, which don't compare with Chicago ones, but were enjoyable and shared the church service on Sunday. The first picture is at the Fireworks and the second one is making kabobs for the grill. Thanks for coming guys.
